  Pension Information

If you work for ABF, Roadway Express, USF Holland, UPS, Yellow Transportation or Miller Transporters, your contract provides for a pension benefit by the Central States Pension Fund.

If you plan on retiring, you should complete a pension application approximately six months prior to your retirement date.  Before that time you should contact your local union Benefits Coordinator to make sure you have (or will have) the pension years you are anticipating having at retirement time.

You will need to have a copy of your birth certificate (or two other approved proofs of age), a copy of your marriage certificate, if applicable, or a copy of your divorce decree, if applicable, and a copy of your spouse's birth certificate.

You will need to have available the correct spelling of the names of your children (even if they are adults), their birth dates, social security numbers, and addresses.  No documents for children are required at this time for completing the pension application.

The Benefits Coordinator at Local 991 is available to assist you in completing the pension application, which takes approximately an hour to complete.  If you are unable to come to the Local Union office, a pension application blank form will be provided to you or you may contact Central States Pension Funds directly at www.CentralStates.org or by telephone at
