& Business Manager

Jim Gookins
The Secretary/Treasurer is also the Business Manager of the Local Union. As Business Manager or "Principal Officer" of the Local Union, he has the job overseeing the Local Union's operations and finances. He is the Supervisor of the Business Agents and Office Staff, and is responsible for the financial stability of the Local Union's finances.
Brother Gookins is a 25 year Teamster and a former UPS package car driver from the Tallahassee, FL center. In 1988 Jim was elected as Shop Steward and held the position for 15 years. In 2001, he was appointed as a Trustee for Local 991. In 2003, Jim was hired as a Business Agent, and in 2005 was appointed, by the Local 991 Executive Board, to replace retiring Charles Sullivan as the Secretary-Treasurer and Business Manager of the Local Union. He also serves on the Executive Board of Joint Council 75 as a Trustee. Jim was born in Brooklyn, NY, has 3 grown children and currently resides in Daphne, AL.

President

Terry Taylor
The President of the Local Union is required to preside at all General Membership and Executive Board meetings, enforce the International Constitution and Local Union by-laws, to counter sign all checks written by the Secretary Treasurer, and to see that all other officers perform their duties.

Vice President

Antoine Lott
The Vice President of the Local Union is responsible for presiding at Local Union meetings in the absence of the President. He may also be required to perform other duties and render assistance as may be directed by the President.

Recording Secretary

Keith Salmon
The Recording Secretary of the Local Union is required to attend general membership meetings of the Local Union and the Local Union Executive Board and to keep minutes of the proceedings. He is also responsible for keeping records of the names of the members comprising each committee and handling all correspondence of the Local Union assigned by the President.

Trustees
The Trustees are responsible for conducting monthly examinations of the books of the Local Union and to report the results at the Membership meetings. They are also required to sign the books of the Secretary-Treasurer if they have found them correct and the bank balances verified.
