Joint Councils are regional organizations consisting of several Teamsters Local Unions.
To help describe the Teamsters Union overall structure; the International Union could be compared to the US Government, the Joint Council could be compared to the State Government, and the Local Union could be compared to the City Government.
Each Joint Council has its own Executive Board of Officers and Delegates.
Teamsters Local 991 is affiliated with Joint Council 75, which includes the entire states of Georgia and Florida, and parts of Alabama and Mississippi.
